Week of 4-3-11, A very special episode of Jersey Shore. Ok, not really, but this might be equally bad.

I’m sorry to hear about the podcast. I can honestly say it was a highlight of my Monday workdays. I do hope you decide to go on with the show at a later date. I wish I could contribute, but I’m a 23 year old who only been riding for a short time and am afraid I don’t know much about it all yet.

I’m almost in the same position as Kaanan. I love the hour or two I get to listen to your podcast every Monday at work! I was also thinking about how I could contribute, but honestly I am 21 and have only been riding for 3 years. Been through 4 bikes, and one hospital room visit.
Anyway, best of luck with your other podcast and hopefully someone a little more experienced and qualified could step up and give you a hand.
I listen to the Pace Podcast as well, and I agree that having two hosts does make it easier to carry a topic.

Damn, I was really crushed to hear your story. That sucks, but I guess you’re looking at it rationally.
Please don’t kill it! Maybe go every 2 or 3 weeks until you get enough material? I’d definitely rather wait a bit than lose this cool show entirely! If you want a guest who is a 40-odd year old returning rider who bought a bike WAY too big and is scared to take it off-road, I’m your guy…
Good luck man, hope you can make it fly…

Hey Craig, sorry to hear about the show possibly ending. You’ve done a great job with it and I’ve enjoyed listening. I can’t imagine how much time and effort it must take to put this together every week. What about just doing a show on a monthly basis? Maybe post up a note board where people could leave ideas about different topics that they are interested in or have experience to share to provide some content for future shows. Good luck with whatever you decide to do with it.

Thanks guys for the comments. I have not given up on the podcast, but must really rethink how I present it and how it will work before setting sail again. I know I’ll need help, so if I can find a co-host or regular contributor that will go a long way towards making it feasible. I will be doing some thinking and planning, and hopefully find a fellow nut to talk bikes.

Hope you decide to hang in there. I enjoyed listening to your podcasts while flying to Spain and back last week. Instead of beating yourself up, why not consider a 2 week or 4 week schedule instead of once a week, and also not going so long. Shorten it to 30 minutes or so. I think if you give this thing time to grow even larger and get greater exposure, the guests will come to you more readily.

I am truly bummed about this. I hope you can continue, at least on a more sporadic basis. I really enjoyed this show, and rant-fu, and I use it regularly to keep my sanity on the plane or at work. I’m sure I have no idea the amount of time it takes for it’s production, but I do know I appreciate the time you took to get it this far.

I ran into a situation much like yours as I was trying to develop a few sites, got no help and no one cared. So I’m going to go out on a limb and offer my services. Get in touch with me. The dualsport pod cast is a GREAT IDEA and deserves to be heard !

Sorry to hear that you might be stopping the show. I really enjoyed listening to you talk about bikes and bike stuff! I do understand though how it would be very difficult to do this alone. You might think about bi-weekly? Maybe? I’d offer to call in, but my bike adventures all took place in the early to mid 80′s and I’ve been away from it since about 1990 or so. I’ve just this past November purchased a new adventure bike and hope to get back into it!

I really hope this is just a break, I enjoyed the podcast and agree that there NEEDS to be a DS podcast out there. I’ll also second the idea that as a listener I wouldn’t mind a more sporadic schedule or a shorter show if that would help make it feasible. Thanks for the great shows you’ve done so far!
